Condenser Refrigerant Lines, Disconnecting and Connecting
• Different versions of the condenser are available depending on the vehicle version. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog.
Remove the refrigerant lines
- Discharge the refrigerant circuit.
- If necessary, remove noise insulation. and components which may obstruct access to the connections on condenser (depending on vehicle).
- Remove bolts - A - (tightening torque 20 Nm).
- Disconnect refrigerant lines - D - and - E - from condenser.
• Seal open pipes and connections at condenser with suitable caps (to prevent dirt and moisture from entering).
• Do not bend, kink or stretch lines or hoses as refrigerant lines and refrigerant hoses may be damaged.
Install the refrigerant lines
Installation is carried out in the reverse order while noting the following:
- Replace O-ring seals - B - and - C -. For correct version, refer to Electronic Parts Catalog.
• Coat the O-ring seals lightly with refrigerant oil prior to installation, refer to => [ Refrigerant Circuit O-Rings ] Refrigerant Circuit O-Rings.
- Following attachment, check routing of refrigerant pipes. They must be inserted in holders provided and not make contact with other components.
- Evacuate and re-charge refrigerant circuit.
- Operate the A/C system after filling the refrigerant circuit, refer to => [ A/C System, Operating after Filling Refrigerant Circuit ] A/C System, Operating after Filling Refrigerant Circuit.
