CONDITION
The customer may report when a front door is opened or closed with the window in the down position, that the window will briefly raise approximately one inch, then go back down to the original position once the door is closed again.
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
This partial window lift is a new feature introduced in the software to improve acoustics when the door is closed with the window in the down position by preventing it from rattling. This only applies to vehicles without full window frames integrated in the door. The previous solution for window rattle when closing a door with a down-window was the placement of 2 rubber insulators next to the glass. The rubber insulators are not present on vehicles with this partial window lift functionality.
PRODUCTION SOLUTION
Not Applicable.
SERVICE
