Sunlight Photo Sensor (G107)

• If a photo sensor is installed that is not adapted to this control head (it emits a different signal than is stored in the control head for this vehicle), the control head cannot evaluate the signal from the photo sensor and the control of the A/C system is faulty. Check using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function and refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

Removal






- Use a small screwdriver - 1 - to carefully pry the photo sensor - 3 - out of the upper front defroster vent - arrow -.

- Disconnect the electrical harness connector - 2 -.

Installation

Installation is done in reverse order, observe the following:

After completion of the repair work, perform the following work on the control head using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function:

- Read out the event memory and erase any displayed entries.
