Condition
Customer complaint:

Headlight warning message sporadically appears in DIS.

^ The warning is typically associated with the activation of the static cornering light during low speed turns, or when the turn signal is activated while at a stop.

^ The fault disappears shortly after the cornering light turns off.

Workshop findings:

At least one of the following entries is logged in J519 (09 - central electrics unit control unit):

^ DTC 3813 (Lamp for main beam, right - current coding, implausible signal)

^ DTC 3814 (Lamp for main beam, left - current coding, implausible signal)

^ DTC 3815 (Lamp for dipped beam, right - current coding, implausible signal)

^ DTC 3816 (Lamp for dipped beam, left - current coding, implausible signal)

Only vehicles with full LED headlights (PR No 8EX or 8EY) are affected.

Both headlights remain fully functional during this complaint and still comply with all applicable FMVSS standards.

Technical Background
Software within the LED control module incorrectly calculates the current intensity of the headlight LEDs, leading to the DTC.

Production Solution
New software for LED control modules.
