A/C Compressor Drive Plate







A/C Compressor Drive Plate

Removing






- Remove the A/C compressor. Refer to => [ A/C Compressor ] A/C Compressor.

- Remove the drive plate and the overload protection. Refer to => [ Drive Plate with Overload Protection ] Drive Plate With Overload Protection.

- Remove the drive plate - C - by turning it with a commercially available wrench (with electrical tape) in the - direction of the arrow D - while counterholding the compressor shaft - A - with the counterholder - B -.

Depending on the versions of the compressor (the A/C compressor shafts are different), a wrench or a socket wrench (T10001/10) from the shock absorber set (T10001) or retainer (3079) must be used to counterhold.

Installing






Installation is done is reverse order, observe the following:

- Insert the rubber element - B - into the drive plate - A - as shown in the illustration and lightly coat i.e. with tire mounting paste or soap solution (as a lubricant).

- Position the drive plate - C - between the rubber elements until they touch the A/C compressor drive shaft - B -.

This illustration shows the rubber element - B - in version "1". The rubber elements in version "2" are connected to one another above.

- Install the drive plate - C - with a commercially available wrench (with electric tape) by turning it in the - direction of the arrow E - on the compressor shaft - A - while counterholding it with the counterholder- B - on the compressor shaft - A -.
