Front Brakes Assembly Overview, PR- 1LL/FM0
• Always install complete repair set.
• After replacing brake pads, depress brake pedal firmly several times with vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.
• Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
• When siphoning brake fluid, always use a bleeder bottle that is used exclusively for brake fluid. Brake fluid is poisonous. NEVER siphon brake fluid with your mouth!
• Check brake caliper for ease of movement by moving it sideways.
1 Brake Disc
• For the correct wear limit, refer to => [ Brakes ] Brakes.
• Must always be replaced together on both sides of vehicle.
• Remove brake carrier before removing.
• Coat contact surfaces between brake disc and wheel hub with polycarbamide grease G 052 142 A2.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Disc ] Brake Disc.

5 Wire for Brake Pad Wear Indicator
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Pad Wear Display Wire ] Brake Pad Wear Display Wire.
• Make sure the contact for the brake pad wear display fits correctly in the spring inside the inner brake pad.

• Make sure the contact for the brake pad wear display fits correctly in the spring inside the inner brake pad.
7 Brake Caliper
• When doing work, do not allow to hang from brake hose, rather suspend it from the body using bundling wire.
• Except for "replacing brake pads" and "servicing front brake caliper", no other repairs should be performed on the brake caliper.
• Install hose so it is not twisted.
• Replacing, refer to => [ Brake Caliper ] Brake Caliper.
• Brake caliper and brake carrier, removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Caliper with Brake Carrier ] Brake Caliper With Brake Carrier.
8 Bolt
• 22 Nm
9 Trim
• Make sure the cover and balance spring are installed correctly.
• The tips of the balance spring fit into the brake caliper.
• The tip of the balance spring fits under the cover.
10 Balance Spring
• Make sure the cover and balance spring are installed correctly.
• The tips of the balance spring fit into the brake caliper.
• The tip of the balance spring fits under the cover.
11 Brake Pads
• For the correct wear limit, refer to => [ Brakes ] Brakes.
• The inner pad is equipped with a cable for the wear indicator.
• Remove any film on the back of the pad before installing.
• Before installing the brake pads, clean the pad guide surface and coat it with a film of Polycarbamide grease. Allocation, refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).
• Must always be replaced together on both sides of vehicle.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Pads ] Brake Pads.
• Before installing new brake pads, thoroughly clean the brake calipers of contaminants (grease-free). When doing so, pay particular attention to removing any remaining adhesive foil on brake pad contact surfaces.
• Make sure the contact for the brake pad wear display fits correctly in the spring inside the inner brake pad.
12 Brake Carrier
• Bolt to wheel bearing housing.
• 196 Nm
• Brake caliper and brake carrier, removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Caliper with Brake Carrier ] Brake Caliper With Brake Carrier.
13 Brake Carrier Bolts
• Always replace if removed.
• 196 Nm

• Seal with a cap.
• 55 Nm
• Allen screw, 9 mm socket (T50036).
17 Cap
18 Brake Line
• Install in the brake caliper housing.
• Screwed together with brake hose, held against the hex nut of the brake hose.
• Hose must be installed free of twists.
• Make sure that lugs are properly seated in grooves in bracket.
• Brake line connection to brake hose: 12 Nm
• Brake line connection to brake caliper: 19 Nm
• Make sure the brake hose is routed correctly. Make sure the brake hose is not blocked, bent or rubbing against the vehicle.
19 Brake Pad Bolt
• 9 Nm
