Removing






- Remove the door trim.

- Remove the door window. Refer to => [ Front Door Window ] Front Door Window.

- Remove the door control module. Refer to => [ /, Removing and Installing ] Central Locking, Servicing.

- Disconnect the electric wire and free up the wiring harness - 5 -.

- Pry out the grommets - 1 and 4 -.

- Pry out the inner grommet - 3 - first and then the outer grommet - 2 -.

- Remove the wire holders - 1 and 3 - from the door shell and free up the wiring harness.






- Remove the nuts - 4 -.

- Remove the mirror adjustment unit mount and guide the wiring harness at the same time outward through the door shell and behind the guide rail - 2 -.

Installing






• For the correct tightening specifications refer to => [ Exterior Mirror Assembly Overview ] Exterior Rearview Mirror Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

Danger of causing damage to the wiring harness

• The wiring harness must be routed and secured as described.

- Route the wiring harness - 2 - behind the guide rail - 1 - for the door window and attach the wire holders - 3 and 4 - to the door shell as illustrated.

- Install the door control module. Refer to => [ /, Removing and Installing ] Central Locking, Servicing.

- Install the door window. Refer to => [ Front Door Window ] Front Door Window.
