Door Lock Cable

Removing

- Remove lock cylinder. Refer to => [ Lock Cylinder ] Lock Cylinder.

- Remove the door trim.

- Remove the door shell cover. Refer to => [ Inner Door Panel Cover ] Inner Door Panel Cover.

- Remove the lock cylinder guide. Refer to => [ Lock Cylinder Guide ] Lock Cylinder Guide.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Press the door lock - 1 - to the side and disconnect the electrical connector - 2 - if necessary.

- Disengage the actuating link - 3 - at the door lock cable bracket - 2 - - arrow A -.






- Turn the nipple - 1 - 90° in the - direction of arrow B - and remove it from the door opener release lever - 4 -.

Installing






• For the correct tightening specifications refer to => [ Door Lock and Striker Pin Assembly Overview ] Door Lock and Striker Pin Assembly Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Insert the nipple - 2 - in the door opener release lever - 3 - - bottom arrow -.

- Rotate the nipple 90° - upper arrow - top arrow and press the actuating link into the cable bracket on the door lock - 1 - until it engages audibly.

- Install the lock cylinder guide. Refer to => [ Lock Cylinder Guide ] Lock Cylinder Guide.

- Install the inner door panel cover. Refer to => [ Inner Door Panel Cover ] Inner Door Panel Cover.

- Install the door trim.

- Install the lock cylinder. Refer to => [ Lock Cylinder ] Lock Cylinder.
