Gas-Filled Strut







Gas-Filled Strut

The gas-filled struts are under great pressure. Only a specialty workshop with qualified personnel should dispose of them.






1 Gas strut

Removing

- Remove side trim.

- Disengage the locking spring - arrows - at the ball sockets and remove the gas-filled strut from the ball pin.

Installing

Replace the locking springs after removing the gas-filled strut.

- The gas-filled strut may only be installed at the ball sockets onto the ball pins.

2 Ball stud

21 Nm

3 Ball pin bracket

Replacing Locking Springs

- Remove the locking spring from the ball socket in direction of - arrow - after removing the gas-filled strut.






- Install the new locking spring into the ball socket.

Do not bend open the locking spring when installing it.

Install Gas-Filled Strut






- The gas-filled struts may only be installed on the ball pins over the ball sockets - arrows -.
