Rear Lid Motor 1 and Rear Lid Motor 2







Rear Lid Motor 1 and Rear Lid Motor 2

Perform an adaptation using Guided Functions in Guided Fault Finding under diagnosis address 6D after removing and installing rear lid motor 1 (V444) or rear lid motor 2 (V445). Refer to Vehicle diagnostic tester.






1 Bolt

21 Nm

2 Rear lid motor 2 (V445)

Removing

To prevent personal injuries or damaging the rear lid and/or the vehicle body, place a support under the rear lid to keep it from falling down.

- The side trim panel is removed.

- Disconnect the electrical connector to the motor.

- Disengage the push rod - 5 - from the ball pin in the mount - 4 -.

- Disengage the gas-filled strut at the ball pin in the mount.

- Remove the bolts - 3 - and - 8 - and remove the mount and the motor - 2 - from the vehicle.

- Remove the bolt - 7 - and then remove the lever - 6 - from the mount.

- Remove the bolts - 1 - and pull the motor out of the mount.

Installing

- The lever - 4 - can be mounted on the motor axle in one position only.

4 Mount for the rear lid drive

Removing

- The side trim panel is removed.

- Disconnect the motor connectors.

- Disengage the push rod and gas-filled strut from the mount.

- Remove the bolts - 3 - and - 8 - and remove the mount and the motor - 2 - from the vehicle.

Installing

- Follow the tightening sequence when installing.

- Tighten the bolts - 3 -, then the bolts - 8 - from top to bottom with the tightening specification.

5 Push rod

One groove (0.5 mm) is wider on the lever, therefore it can only be pushed onto the teeth on the motor axle in one position.

The wider tooth on the motor axle has a punch.

Make sure the plastic bushing is pushed on when installing.

Make sure the bushing - 2 - is pushed onto the lever before installing the lever - 1 -.

Marking on Motor Axle Tooth

- The wider tooth has a punch in it so that the lever can be installed correctly.






- The marking - arrow - identifies the wider tooth.

Marking on Lever Teeth

- Install the lever with the wider groove on the teeth on the motor axle with the punch.






- The marking - arrows - is located on the wider groove.

Install in Lever into Mount

Motors are always supplied in the lid open position.

- Install the motor - 1 - in the mount and tighten the bolts hand-tight.






- Install the lever - 3 - in the mount and push it onto the motor axle in the correct position. Pay attention to the markings when doing this.

- Turn the lever - 2 - until the hole in the lever touches the collar on the bolting surface.

- Tighten the lever to the tightening specification => [ (Item 7) Bolt ]

- Tighten the bolts on the motor to the tightening specification => [ (Item 3) Bolt ]
