Affected Vehicles

Condition

The customer may complain that the rear lid cannot be electrically opened or closed. No DTCS are stored in the rear lid control module.

Tip: The rear lid can still be operated manually.

Technical Background

At a certain operating condition the boot lid control unit J605 remains in the waiting position. As a result, control module does not process any signals.

Production Solution

New software in the Rear Lid Control Module (J605) addressed the condition.

SVM Update Instructions

1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.





2. Update the 6D rear lid control module (J605) using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.

3. Perform basic settings for rear lid.
