Left Impact Member Mount

Removing

- Remove the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to => [ Front Wheel Housing Liner ] Front Wheel Housing Liner.

- Remove the side impact bar. Refer to => [ Impact Member ] Impact Member.

- Remove the connecting brace. Refer to => [ Connecting Brace ] Connecting Brace.

- Move the left cooler for charge air cooling circuit with the coolant hoses still connected to the rear.

- Remove the horn mount (if equipped).

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Have a second technician open the clamps - 1 - in - direction of arrow A - and remove the condenser - 2 - from the mounts on the radiator - arrows B -.






Danger of causing damage to the condenser, the refrigerant lines and the refrigerant hoses

• Do not stretch, kink or bend the refrigerant lines and hoses.

- Move the condenser with the lines still connected, forward and then to the side and then secure it.

- Mark the installation position of the mount to the lock carrier for installation later.






- Remove the bolts - arrows -.

- Move the lock carrier - 2 - slightly to the front and remove the impact member mount - 1 - to the left.

Installing

• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Impact Bar Assembly Overview ] Impact Bar Assembly Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Tighten the impact member mount according to the marking made during removal.

- Install the condenser.

- Install the horn bracket.

- Install the left charge air cooling circuit cooler.

- Install the connecting brace. Refer to => [ Connecting Brace ] Connecting Brace.

- Install the impact member. Refer to => [ Impact Member ] Impact Member.

- Install the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to => [ Front Wheel Housing Liner ] Front Wheel Housing Liner.
