Oxygen Sensor after Three Way Catalytic Converter (G130) and Heater for Oxygen Sensor 1 after Catalytic Converter (Z29)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Ring Spanner 7-Piece Set (3337)

Removing

- Disconnect the connector - 2 - from the Oxygen Sensor (O2S) after Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) (G130) and heater for Oxygen Sensor (O2S) 1 after catalytic converter (Z29).






- 3 - is not on vehicles with engine code CPMA.

- Remove the O2S after TWC - 1 - using a tool from the (3337).






Installing

Note the following when installing:

New oxygen sensors are coated with assembly paste; the paste must not get into the slots of the oxygen sensor body.

For a used oxygen sensor, only coat threads with hot bolt paste. This paste must not come into contact with the oxygen sensor slots. Hot bolt paste, refer to the Parts Catalog

Wiring connection of the oxygen sensor must always be secured in the same position when installing so that the contact with the exhaust pipe is avoided.
