Backup Light Bulb: Service and Repair

Backup Lamp Bulb

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Removing






- Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key.

- Turn the light switch to the "0" position.

- Pry the cover - 1 - out using the (3409) - arrow -.

- Remove the nut - 2 - and remove the large bracket - 1 -.






- Unlock the socket - 3 -: on the left tail lamp, turn counterclockwise - arrow -; on the right tail lamp, turn clockwise.

- Pull the socket out of the tail lamp.

- Remove the backup lamp bulb from the socket.

Installing

• Tightening specification, refer to => [ Inner Tail Lamp ] Inner Tail Lamp.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Insert the new bulb in the socket without touching the bulb with bare hands.

- Slide the large bracket - 1 - onto the threaded pins on the inner tail lamp and tighten the nut - 2 -.

• When tightening the nut, the bracket wedges itself onto the rear lid.
