D-Pillar Trim

• Removing and installing is identical for the left and right sides.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pry Lever (80 - 200)

Removing

Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components.

- Remove the luggage compartment side trim. Refer to => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ] Luggage Compartment Side Trim.

- Remove the rear roof panel trim. Refer to => [ Roof Panel Trim ] Roof Panel Trim.

- Remove the bolts - 2 - and - 3 -.






- Remove the D-pillar trim - 1 - from the body - arrows - using the (80 - 200)

- Vehicles equipped with a speaker: disconnect the electrical connector.

Installing

• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components.

• Do not pinch the head curtain airbag when installing the D-pillar trim.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• If the trim clamps remain in the body mounting points, remove them and insert them in the trim.

• Check the clamps for damage or deformation and replace them if necessary.

- First mount the D-pillar trim on the centering pins and then press until it engages audibly.

- Pull the rubber lip of the luggage compartment seal over the edge of the trim.
