Spray Nozzles, Adjusting, from 06.2008

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Windshield Washer Aiming Tool (T40187) equipped with Replacement Tip (3125/5A)

Adjusting






The settings indicate the values for a moving vehicle, i.e. the spray from the jets is slightly offset when the vehicle is stationary.

- Mark the six points on windshield using a water soluble marker














Risk of injury.

If the windshield washer aiming tool (T40187) is not used, ensure that both sides are always covered and secured by covers - 3 - and - 4 -.

If one side is not secured by the cover, injury can be caused by the needle (3125/5A) - 1 - or adjusting pin - 2 -.

When opening each side, always ensure that the other side is not pointing toward the hand.

- Unlock long cover - 1 - on the (T40187) - arrow A - and push it back - arrow B -.






- Place adjusting pin - 2 - on the respective nozzle - arrow - of nozzle unit - 1 - and aim at the points on the windshield and adjust if necessary.






- If the spray field does not correspond to the specifications, clean dirty spray jet.


Risk of injury.

The adjusting pin must be covered and secured by the cover after each use.

Cleaning the nozzle

- Remove nozzle. Refer to => [ Spray Nozzles, ] Spray Nozzles,.

- Flush nozzle opposite to spray direction using clear water.

- To remove remaining impurities, the nozzle must only be blown out opposite to spray direction using compressed air.

- If the spray field still does not correspond to the specifications, replace the spray jet.
