• Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

• Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

• All terms such as upper (above), lower (below), etc. are always described in relation to the installation position of the seat in direction of travel.





1 Connectors

- Secure connectors at a suitable location on the seat pan.

2 Cable Guide

- Secure replacement airbag wiring harness to designated places on seat pan.

3 Seat Pan

• Is contained in the repair kit.

• Should prevent damage to the replacement airbag wiring harness.

5 Felt 2

• Is contained in the repair kit.

• Should prevent damage to the replacement airbag wiring harness.

6 Clip on Replacement Airbag Wiring Harness

• The series production wiring harness may be secured with 2 clips and routed under the seat pan, depending on equipment.

- Secure replacement airbag wiring harness so it runs between seat pan and seat upholstery.

7 Felt 3

• Is contained in the repair kit.

• Should prevent damage to the replacement airbag wiring harness.

8 Replacement Airbag Wiring Harness

- Route replacement airbag wiring harness over seat pan shaft.

9 Shaft

• The shaft must run under the replacement airbag wiring harness.

10 Felt 4

• Is contained in the repair kit.

• Should prevent damage to the replacement airbag wiring harness.

• Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
