Letting the high pressure pump run dry will destroy it.
• If the fuel filter, a fuel line or the auxiliary fuel pump (V393) is being replaced on a common rail engine, then it is necessary to bleed the fuel system before starting the engine for the first time.
- Bleed the fuel system.
