Left Engine Compartment E-Box, through 05.2008

Removing

- Remove the air filter housing.

Vehicles with a 4-cylinder engine

- Remove the battery tray. Refer to => [ Battery Tray ] Battery Tray.

Vehicles with a 6-cylinder engine

- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery ground wire => [ Battery in Luggage Compartment, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery In Luggage Compartment, Disconnecting and Connecting.

All Vehicles






- Remove the 6-pin relay carrier under the engine compartment E-box - arrow -.

Vehicles with the old version E-box






- Press the retaining clips in - direction of arrow - and remove the E-box cover.

Vehicles with the new version E-box






- Slide both latches in - direction of arrow - and remove the E-box cover.

All Vehicles






- Remove bolt - arrow -.

- Remove the relay and fuse panel B (SB) from the engine compartment E-box.

- Move the relay fuse panel B with the wires still connected to the side.

- Release the retaining straps - arrows -.






- Disconnect the 26-pin connector - 1 - and the 40-pin connector - 2 - on the engine compartment E-box.

- Remove nuts - 1 - and - 2 -.






- Remove the engine compartment E-box - 3 - upward.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Install the fuse panel B (SB). Refer to => [ Relay and Fuse Panel B, through 05.2009 ] Relay and Fuse Panel B, through 05.2009.

Vehicles with a 4-cylinder engine

- Install the battery tray. Refer to => [ Battery Tray ] Battery Tray.

Vehicles with a 6-cylinder engine

- Connect battery. Required actions => Battery In Luggage Compartment, Disconnecting and Connecting.

All Vehicles

- Install the air filter housing.
