Brake System Vacuum Pump

Service work on the brake system vacuum pump (V192) is not possible. If a malfunction occurs, the brake system vacuum pump must be replaced.

Removing

The pump is located at front of engine.

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Remove bolt for shield

- Remove bolts - 1 - at vacuum pump bracket.






- Pull vacuum hose - arrow - off from vacuum pump.

- Separate the electrical connection.

- To remove the bracket - 3 -, remove the bolt - 1 -.






- Remove brake system vacuum pump.






- To further disassemble the pump - arrow -, remove the bolts - 1 -.

Installing

Installation is in reverse sequence.

Tightening Specifications






- - 1 - Vacuum pump to bracket 18 Nm

- - 2 - Brake system vacuum pump

- - 3 - Bracket for pump






- - 1 - Bracket to assembly 18 Nm

- - 2 - Transmission

- - 3 - Bracket
