Fuel Door Release Actuator: Service and Repair

Fuel Filler Door Unlock Motor






1 - Fuel Filler Door Unlock Motor (V155)

• Removal:

- Remove the rear lid end piece trim panel.

- Loosen the side trim panel on the right side in the luggage compartment near the fuel filler door unlock motor and set it to the side.

- Disconnect the connector from the engine.

- Loosen bolts - arrows - turning toward right using socket wrench (T10010) and slide motor out of oblong holes.

- Before installing motor, emergency release eye must be slid over locking pin.

- When installing, tighten bolts to 2 Nm turning toward left.

2 - Locking Rod

• Engage in guide on motor.

3 - Cable for Emergency Release

Emergency Release Cable Routing





- Before assembling motor - 1 -, cable must be slid over locking pin.

- Route cable as shown.

- Guide cable - 2 - through side trim in luggage compartment - 5 - and clip it into cover - 3 -.

Removing Fuel Tank Lid Unlock Motor





- Disconnect electrical connector.

• Actuator mounting bolts must be loosened by turning toward right.

- Loosen bolts - arrows - by turning toward right using (T10010) , slide actuator - 1 - toward front and remove.

- Before installing actuator, emergency release - 3 - must be slid over the locking pin.

- When installing, tighten bolts by turning toward left.

- Locking pin of actuator must move cleanly into closed fuel filler door - 2 -.
