Compact Disc Player (CD): Service and Repair

CD Changer

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Radio Removal Tool (T10057)

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

Removing

- Open the glove box.

- Insert two clips on (T10057) in release slits on CD Changer (R41) until they engage. Points on the grip eyelets of tool face outward.





- Remove CD changer from mounting frame.

- Disconnect the connector from the CD changer.

- Remove (T10057) by pushing locking tabs on CD changer.

Installing

- Connect harness connector.

- Slide CD changer into mounting frame until it engages.

- Check the wiring connection to radio (not radio generation II+) after installing. Refer to => [ Wire Connections, Radio and CD Changer, through KW 44/06, Checking ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
