Seal between Bevel Box and Transmission

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782)

• Pulling Hook (T20143)

• Thrust Piece (T10243)

Procedure

- Remove the bevel gear. Refer to vehicles with 2.0 TFSI engine=> [ Bevel Box ] Bevel Box or vehicles with 3.2L MPI engine=> [ Bevel Box ] Bevel Box.

- Place the (V.A.G 1782) under the transmission.

- Pry out the sealing ring on transmission using the (T20143/1) or (T20143/2).

- Lightly coat the outer circumference of the new shaft seal with oil.






- Fill the space between the sealing- and dust lip - arrow - half way with sealing grease; sealing grease, refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

- Carefully install the sealing ring all the way using the (T10243).






- Install the bevel box. Refer to vehicles with 2.0L TFSI engine => [ Bevel Box ] Bevel Box or vehicles with 3.2L MPI engine => [ Bevel Box ] Bevel Box.
