Selector Mechanism Overview







Selector Mechanism Overview

Coat the bearing areas and sliding surfaces with polycarbamide grease. Refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).






1 Bracket

For selector lever cable

2 Bolt

20 Nm plus an additional 90° turn

Replace

Quantity: 2

3 Circle

Replace

4 Bolt

13 Nm

5 Securing Plate

Replace

6 Selector Lever Cable

Do not bend

Do not lubricate the cable eye

Replace the selector lever cable boot if damaged.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable ] Selector Lever Cable

Adjusting, refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable, Adjusting ] Selector Lever Cable, Adjusting

Selector mechanism to the body

8 Stop Buffer for Selector Lever

Clipped into the selector mechanism

9 Selector Mechanism Function Unit

With a permanent circuit board for the selector mechanism

With integrated selector lever sensor system control module (J587) with selector lever (E313) , tipronic switch (F189) , selector lever park position lock switch (F319) and selector lever solenoid (N110).

Check using Guided Fault Finding in the vehicle diagnostic tester.

With integrated selector lever sensor system control module with selector lever, tipronic switch, selector lever park position lock switch and selector lever solenoid can only be replaced with the mechanism function of the selector mechanism.

Perform selector mechanism emergency release, refer to => [ Selector Mechanism, Performing Emergency Release ] Selector Mechanism, Performing Emergency Release

Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Selector Mechanism ] Selector Mechanism
