Motor and Hydraulic Pump Fluid Reservoir






1 Bolt

6 Nm

2 Motor

Removing

The convertible top is closed

- Remove the trim near the pump..

- Disconnect electrical connectors.

- Remove the sound enclosure.

Before removing, place a cloth or a collector tray under the pump to catch any hydraulic fluid that may leak out.

- Open and close the fluid filler plug one time to equalize the pressure.

- Hold the pump and the motor vertically for a few minutes to drain out all the hydraulic fluid into the fluid reservoir.

- Remove the screws on the motor flange and remove the motor from the valve block.

Installing

- Use a new seal when installing.

- Position the motor shaft so that it fits correctly into the opening in the coupling plate, refer to and tighten the screw to the tightening specification.

- Assemble the hydraulic pump.

- Check the fluid level and fill with fluid if necessary. Refer to => [ Hydraulic System, Filling and Bleeding ] Hydraulic System, Filling and Bleeding.

Removing

The convertible top is closed

- Remove the trim near the pump..

- Disconnect electrical connectors.

- Remove the sound enclosure.

Before removing, place a cloth or a collector tray under the pump to catch any hydraulic fluid that may leak out.

- Remove and install the fluid filler plug to equalize the pressure.

- Drain the fluid reservoir if necessary.

- Hold the pump and fluid reservoir upright.

- Loosen the screw at the clamp and remove the fluid reservoir.

- Be careful not to damage the fluid screen, refer to.

Installing:

- Use a new seal when installing.

make sure it is installed correctly


If the fluid reservoir is replaced, make sure the fluid filler plug is exactly vertical and in the center of the valve block.

Only then are the MIN and MAX marks correct.



- Check the fluid level and fill with fluid if necessary. Refer to => [ Hydraulic System, Filling and Bleeding ] Hydraulic System, Filling and Bleeding.

- Tighten the clamp screw to the tightening specification.

10 Valve

Removing

- Close convertible top.

- Remove the side trim panel near the hydraulic pump..

- Remove the pump and place a catch tray underneath.


Disconnect the connector on the pump with a small screwdriver. Do not break the locking mechanism.

- Unlock and remove the connector on the valve.

- Remove the screws on the valve.

- Gently turn the valve and remove it from the valve block.

Installing

- Make sure the hole for the valve is clean.

- Install the replacement valve into the hole and tighten the screws to the tightening specification.

- Connect the connector, check and fluid level and fill if necessary.

11 Clamp

tighten the threaded connector to 3.5 Nm

12 Seal

replace; coat with hydraulic fluid when installing

13 Noise Insulation Lower Section

Install the motor into the valve block





- Position the shaft - 1 - behind the opening in the coupling plate - 2 - as illustrated and attach the motor to the valve block with a slight turning motion.

Remove the fluid reservoir from the valve block





- Loosen the clamp and pull it off over the fluid reservoir.

- Remove the fluid reservoir from the valve block - 1 - by turning it slightly. Be careful not to damage the fluid screen - 2 -.
