Removing






- Remove the rear lid trim panel..

- Disconnect the electrical connectors - 1 through 7 -.

- Free up the wiring harness on the rear lid - arrow -.

- Carefully unclip the cover - 1 - on the hinge - 3 - - arrows -.






- Remove the grommet - 2 - on the rear lid and remove the wiring harness.

- Remove the nut - 3 -.






Risk of injury!

• When removing and installing, a second technician is needed to support and hold the rear lid.

- Loosen the nut - 2 - a few turns.

- With a second technician, pull the rear lid - 1 - off the hinge in the - direction of the arrow -.

Installation






• Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Rear Lid Hinge, Gas-Filled Strut, Stop and Rear Lid Overview ] Rear Lid Hinge, Gas-Filled Strut, Stop and Rear Lid Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Make sure the grommet - 2 - fits correctly inside the rear lid.

- Install the wiring harness cover - 1 -. Refer to => [ Wiring Harness Cover ] Wiring Harness Cover.

- Adjust the rear lid. Refer to => [ Rear Lid, Adjusting ] Rear Lid, Adjusting.
