AFFECTED VEHICLES

CONDITION





The switch for fuel tank filler lid/front luggage compartment lid is loose, or has fallen through the trim and into the door trim.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

The locking lugs of the switch do not hold sufficiently in the switch trim.

PRODUCTION SOLUTION

An improved switch and switch trim are in development. Until improved parts are available, secure the switch to the trim using an adhesive, such as hot melt glue. Do not replace the switch or trim for this condition, as it will not remedy this concern.

SERVICE





1. Remove the upper door pull handle of the left door. Secure the switch to the trim with adhesive or hot melt glue, as shown in Figure 1.
