1 Bolt
• 50 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace after removing it.
2 Suspension Strut (Air Suspension)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Suspension Strut ] Air Suspension Strut.
3 Securing Clip
4 Bolt
• 50 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace after removing it.
5 Bolt
• 5 Nm
6 Level Control System Sensors (G78) / (G289)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front Level Control System Sensor ] Front Level Control System Sensor.
7 Bolt
8 Coupling Rod
9 Stabilizer Bar
10 Nut
• Self-locking
• 110 Nm
• Always replace after removing it.
11 Bolt
12 Lower Control Arm
• Conical pin must be free of grease and oil.
• If necessary, clean using dry rag, do not use cleaning agents.
13 Backing Plate
14 Bolt
• M10: 50 Nm + 90° turn
• M12: 90 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace after removing it.
15 Drive Axle
16 Tie Rod
• Conical pin must be free of grease and oil.
• If necessary, clean using dry rag, do not use cleaning agents.
17 Nut
• Self-locking
• 90 Nm
• Always replace after removing it.
18 Wheel Bearing Housing
• The tapered holes and the contact surfaces on the outer circumference of the wheel bearing must be free of oil, grease and preserving agent.
• If necessary, clean using dry rag, do not use cleaning agents.
19 Nut
• Self-locking
• 500 Nm
• Always replace after removing it.
• Before assembling, coat contact surface with assembly paste.
20 Nut
• Self-locking
• 85 Nm
• Always replace after removing it.
21 Nut
• Self-locking
• 150 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace after removing it.
22 Bolt
• Always replace after removing it.
23 Nut
• Self-locking
• 110 Nm
• Always replace after removing it.
24 Upper Control Arm
• Conical pin must be free of grease and oil
• If necessary, clean using dry rag, do not use cleaning agents
25 Nut
• Self-locking
• 7 Nm
26 Nut
• Self-locking
• Always replace after removing it.
27 Nut
• Self-locking
• Always replace after removing it.
28 Air Line
• Colors: front left - purple; front right - green.
• Air pipe line, servicing, refer to => [ Air Pipe Line, Servicing ] Air Pipe Line, Servicing.
• Replace connector piece if leaking, refer to => [ Connector Piece, Replacing ] .
29 Connector Piece
• 5 Nm
• Always observe tightening specification!
• Only remove if vehicle is raised and air spring damper is unloaded (otherwise, there is a risk of injury from lowering vehicle).
• Service the air line if there are leaks => [ Air Pipe Line, Servicing ] Air Pipe Line, Servicing or replace the connection => [ Connector Piece, Replacing ] .
• Clean connections before loosening.
• Air escapes when connections are unscrewed.
30 Bolt
• 50 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace after removing it.
