Front Body Acceleration Sensor

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing

- Place vehicle on hoist. Refer to => [ Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels ] Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels.

- Remove the wheel.

- Remove wheel housing liner.

- Unplug connector - 1 -.






- Remove screw - 2 - and Body Acceleration Sensor - 3 -.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

- Install Body Acceleration Sensor bolt - 2 - and tighten to 8 Nm.






- Install wheel housing liner.

- Install wheel.

- Place vehicle on wheels. Refer to => [ Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels ] Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels.

- Tighten the wheel.

- Check the body acceleration signal. Refer to => [ Body Acceleration Sensor, Checking Acceleration Signal ] .
