Engine Mount
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Engine Support Bridge (10 - 222 A)
• Bracket with Spindle and Hook (10 - 222 A /10) , qty. 2
• Adapter (10 - 222 A /19)
• Adapter (10 - 222 A /22)
• Engine Support Basic Set (T40091)
• Engine Support Supplement Set (T40093)
Removing
- On vehicles with air suspension, activate vehicle lift mode.
- Remove the air filter housing.
- Remove the noise insulation - 1 and 2 -.
- Mount the (10 - 222 A) with the (10 - 222 A /22) and (T40091/3) on the fender bolting edge as illustrated.
- Install the other parts as illustrated. Position the (10 - 222 A /19) on the notches on the longitudinal members.
- Engage the (10 - 222 A /10) into the rear engine lift eyes.
- Slide supports (T40091/2) with both sliders (T40093/5) into both mounts (T40093/4).
- Install the long spindles from the (10 - 222 A) and attach the hooks to the engine lifting eyes.
There is the risk of an accident.
• Secure support (T40091/2) with connector pins and (T40093/4).
- Raise engine until the engine supports are above the engine bracket threaded pins and evenly tension all spindles to achieve even weight distribution.
Right Engine Mount
- Remove the bolts - 1 - and remove the heat shield for the steering gear boot.
Continued for Both Sides
- Remove the nut - 1 - and the bolts - arrows -.
- Raise the engine using the spindles far enough so the engine support is above the threaded pins in the engine mount.
- Remove the engine mount.
• To remove the right engine support, turn the steering to the right until it stops.
Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
• For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Subframe Overview ] Subframe Overview.
- Install the heat shield for the steering gear boot.
- Install the noise insulation.
- Install the air filter housing.
- On vehicles with air suspension, deactivate vehicle lift mode.
