Automatic Dimming Interior Rearview Mirror (Y7), Setting

It is necessary to set LHD when

• A new automatic dimming interior rearview mirror is installed.

• In the newer automatic dimming interior rearview mirrors, the magnetic zone sensor has been moved from the mirror base to the mirror housing. The steering side must be set only in the case of these mirrors.

• The new automatic dimming interior rearview mirror can be identified in that an "L" or an "A" appears when button - 2 - is pressed longer than 12 seconds.






- Press button - 2 - for 12 to 15 seconds until "L - for LHD" appears.

- Press the button - 2 - again; the drive side will be changed.

- The display switches automatically to "C - for calibrate" after a short time. The digital compass must now be calibrated. Refer to => [ Digital Compass, Calibrating ] Digital Compass, Calibrating.

- Make sure the interior rearview mirror automatic dimming function is activated again after setting the drive side. Refer to => [ Automatic-Dimming Function, Switching On and Off ] Automatic-Dimming Function, Switching On and Off.
