Rear Lid Trim Panel Overview

• Component designation relates to direction of travel.






1 Upper Center Rear Lid Trim

• Clipped in with 4 or 5 clips when installing the sun shade on the rear lid.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Lid Trim ] Rear Lid Trim.

2 Upper Left Rear Lid Trim

• Is secured to the rear lid with two clamps and one screw.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Lid Trim ] Rear Lid Trim.

3 Bolt

• 1.5 Nm

4 Lower Rear Lid Trim

• Can only be removed after removing upper trim.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Lid Trim ] Rear Lid Trim.

5 Cover

• For the inner left tail lamp.

• Unclip with Trim Removal Wedge (3409).

• There is a lower trim screw located behind cover.

6 Left Luggage Compartment Lights

• Unclip with Trim Removal Wedge (3409).

7 Cover

• For luggage compartment emergency release.

8 Rear Lid Lock Trim

• Inserted in lower trim.

9 Bolt

• 1.5 Nm

• 2 screws are only accessible after removing warning triangle.

• 2 screws are located under the inner tail lamp covers.

10 Right Luggage Compartment Lights

• Is not installed on all vehicles.

11 Rear Lid Lock Button In Luggage Compartment (E406)

• Is not installed on all vehicles.

• Retrofitting rear lid lock button in luggage compartment opening in lower rear lid trim, refer to => [ Rear Lid Lock Button In Luggage Compartment (E406), Retrofitting ] Rear Lid Lock Button In Luggage Compartment (E406), Retrofitting.

12 Cover

• For the inner right tail lamp.

• Unclip with Trim Removal Wedge (3409).

• There is a lower trim screw located behind cover.

13 Clips

• Quantity: 6

• Inserted in lower trim.

• Replace if damaged or deformed.

14 Upper Right Rear Lid Trim

• Is secured to the rear lid with two clamps and one screw.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Lid Trim ] Rear Lid Trim.

15 Bolt

• 1.5 Nm

16 Clips

• Quantity: 2

• Insert in upper right trim.

• Replace if damaged or deformed.

17 Clips

• Quantity: 5

• Insert in upper center trim.

• Replace if damaged or deformed.

18 Clips

• Quantity: 2

• Insert in upper left trim.

• Replace if damaged or deformed.

19 Clip

20 Sun Shade Mount

• Vehicles with

21 Bolt

• 1.6 Nm

22 Cover

• For the sun shade mount.
