Affected Vehicles
Condition
The rear park aid system warns when backing up with no visible objects in the path of the vehicle.
The analysis of the customer complaint is not related to any condition listed in TSB 2024323.
Technical Background
A thermal layer of air can form between a warm spot of air and a cold spot of air. This layer of air can be incorrectly detected as an object by the rear park aid system.
Production Solution
New software in the Park Aid Control Module (J446) addressed the condition.

SVM Update Instructions
1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the Park Aid Control Module (J446) using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.
