Engine and Manual Transmission, Separating

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Additional Hooks (2) (10 - 222 A /2)

• Shop Crane -Load Cap=700-1200kg (VAS 6100)

• Transmission Lift Hook (T40013)

Procedure






• Engine/transmission assembly is removed and mounted on engine mount.

- Install (T40013) at transmission and close locking device.

- Engage (VAS 6100) with (10 - 222 A /2) on lifting tackle.

- Remove the bolts - 3 and 4 - and the starter.






- Remove the bolts - 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8 - connecting the transmission to the engine.

• Ignore - A -.

- Remove transmission from engine.
