HID Headlamp Bulbs (L13)/(L14)

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

• Headlamps must be adjusted after performing measures that could influence headlamp adjustment. Refer to => [ Headlamps Checking and Adjusting Conditions ] Headlamps Checking and Adjusting Conditions.

Removing

Risk of death due to high voltage, injury risk and environmental hazard.

• Usage and safety information for gas discharge headlamps.

- Remove headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Remove the safety screw - 2 -.






- Release spring clip - arrow - and remove gas discharge lamp housing cover - 1 - from headlamp housing.

- Disconnect electrical connector - 4 -.






- Release spring clips - 1 and 3 - and remove gas-discharge lamp - 2 - from housing.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Insert the new HID bulb into the housing without touching the bulb with bare hands.

• Installation location: The electrical connection faces down.

- Secure gas-discharge lamp with spring clips.

- Connect the connector and close the housing cover.

- Secure housing cover using wire clamp.

- Install the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.
