AFFECTED VEHICLES

CONDITION

The rear lid unlocks automatically after locking a door. No DTCS are logged.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

The power system control unit J519 (address code 09) is coded to "rear lid with soft touch."

Coding changed.

SERVICE

With scan tool 505?, select vehicle self-diagnosis and follow the directions below to change the the last bit in Byte 2 from 0 to 1 in the power system control unit J519 (address code 09).





1. Select OBD and forward arrow.





2. Select 09 and forward arrow.





3. Select forward arrow.





4. Select 008 and forward arrow.





5. Select Master section to highlight and then forward arrow.





Next screen to appear.





6. Select Byte 2 to display byte selection screen.





7. Select BIN and enter 00001011 and then forward arrow. Then confirm coding.





Changed coding.
