Technical changes on replacement gearboxes for vehicles of model year 2010.

Old gearbox version

^ Gearbox housing with oil guide (Figure 1, 1 without filter).

^ Pressure filter externally fitted in the ATF pipe system (Figure 1, 2).

New replacement gearbox

^ Gearbox housing with oil guide including pressure filter (oil filter module) (Figure 2, 3).

^ ATF pipes without pressure filter.

Production Solution

Not applicable.

Service

A gearbox replacement on vehicles of model year 2010 is only possible with new ATF pipes (see parts catalog).

The use of the old ATF pipes including pressure filter with a gearbox with oil filter module (filter needs changing) can affect the driving characteristics and lead to gearbox damage.
