Center Seal

Danger of personal injury if the convertible top is not completely open.

• Bleed the hydraulic pressure completely before starting any work on the convertible top system.

• Reason: after approximately 6 minutes the convertible top control module will bleed the hydraulic pressure and the convertible top could fall down uncontrolled.

• All work must be performed with the hydraulic pressure bled.

Removing






- Open the convertible top until the displayed position of the top and the convertible top compartment cover is reached.

- Turn off the ignition and press the convertible top operation switch (E137) - 1 - for approximately 5 seconds.






• The pressure in the hydraulic system will come down.

- Bring the convertible top into the illustrated position.






- Remove the upper section - 2 - of the center seal from the rail - 4 -.

- Remove the lower section - 1 - of the exterior center seal starting on the sides and finally from out of the positioning clips - 3 - - arrow -.

Installation






Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Move the opening slot in the center of the seal - 2 - over the positioning clips - 1 -.

- Press the center seal onto the rail until it locks in.
