- Remove the cigarette lighter/12V outlet. Vehicles without function selector switch 2 (E272) => [ Cigarette Lighter Outlet without Function Selector Switch II ] Cigarette Lighter Outlet Without Function Selector Switch II, vehicles with function selector switch 2, refer to => [ Cigarette Lighter Outlet with Function Selector Switch II ] Cigarette Lighter Outlet With Function Selector Switch II.

- Release the retaining clips - arrows -.

- Remove the illumination ring - 1 - with the cigarette lighter illumination bulb (L28) from the center console storage compartment - 2 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Slide the lighted ring into mount until retaining clips engage.

• The illumination ring can only be inserted in the mount in one position.

- Install the cigarette lighter/12V outlet. Vehicles without function selector switch 2, refer to => [ Cigarette Lighter Outlet without Function Selector Switch II ] Cigarette Lighter Outlet Without Function Selector Switch II, vehicles with function selector switch 2, refer to => [ Cigarette Lighter Outlet with Function Selector Switch II ] Cigarette Lighter Outlet With Function Selector Switch II.
