Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair

Washer Fluid Reservoir

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Removing






- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove left front wheel.

- Remove left front wheel housing liner.

- Open cap - 3 - on washer fluid reservoir filler neck.

- Unhook cap retaining ring - 4 - on washer fluid reservoir filler neck.

- Release line bracket - 1 and 2 - in - direction of arrow A - and tip bracket to side - arrow B -.

- Free up wiring harness.

- Place a reservoir under the washer fluid reservoir.






- Release securing clip - 6 - and remove washer fluid line - 7 - at windshield washer system pump.

- Disconnect washer fluid hose - 5 - at headlamp washer system pump.

- Disconnect electrical connectors - 3, 4, 8 -.

- Remove bolts - 1 - and remove washer fluid reservoir - 2 - forward - arrow -.

Installing






• Tightening specification, refer to => [ Washer Fluid Reservoir and Fluid Lines Overview ] Removal and Replacement.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Secure all hose connections using standard hose clamps. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

- When inserting washer fluid reservoir, ensure securing tab - 1 - engages in mount - 2 - - arrow -.

- Install left front wheel house liner.
