• Replace self-locking nuts and bolts and sealing rings and seals.
• Replace the selector lever cable securing plate and lock washer.
• The hose connections as well as the air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.
• Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory. Refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).
• To secure the charge air hoses on their connections, spray the clamps used previously with rust remover before installing.
• When installing, bring all cable ties back to the same positions.
• For the correct tightening specifications.
- Check the needle bearings in the engine crankshaft and replace if necessary.
- Clean input shaft splines and hub and remove corrosion.
- Apply the clutch disc shaft spline grease very lightly to the splines; clutch disc shaft spline grease. Refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA). Remove any excess grease.
- Make sure the alignment sleeves - A - fit correctly inside the cylinder block.
- Carefully raise the transmission with the (V.A.G 1383 A) and bring it into the installation position using the (3282).
