Rear Lid Spoiler







Rear Lid Spoiler


The adjusting elements and screws for securing the spoiler must always be replaced when replacing the spoiler.

The water drain hoses must be replaced when removing and installing the drive unit.






1 Spoiler

Removing

- Extend spoiler

- Remove bolts - 4 - and remove spoiler.



Installing:

Two assistants are needed during installation to hold the spoiler even.

- The read lid trim panel is removed.

- Retract spoiler.

- Remove water drain hoses.

- Clip adjusting elements into spoiler

- Align intermediate piece according to adjusting elements and bond to spoiler.

- Insert spoiler in drive unit and align slides, top and bottom.

- With assistants, press spoiler in evenly and hold firmly.

- Open lid and tighten bolts - 4 - through water drain hose opening.

- Install water drain hose, ensuring it is seated correctly and does not leak.

2 Adjusting element

Always replace.

Clip into spoiler

The adjusting elements are self-adjusting. That means height differences can be evened out by the adjusting elements.

3 Intermediate piece

Self-adhesive

4 Bolt

Always replace.

6 Nm

5 Spoiler motor

Removing

- Rear lid trim removed.

- Remove water drain hoses.

- Disconnect electrical connectors.

- Remove nuts - 8 - and remove motor from lid.

Installing:

- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Motor mounting was changed.

On the outer sides, motor is now secured with a cap nut which also serves as a centering device.

New motors can be installed on old lids.

6 Water drain hose

Always replace.

7 Clip

8 Nut

The nut has been replaced with a cap nut, which also serves as a centering device

2 Nm

9 Stop
