Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair

Vibration Damper

Removing

• Ribbed belt removed, refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] Ribbed Belt.

- Remove center noise insulation fasteners - 1 through 4 -.






- Remove the right noise insulation - arrows -.






- Remove noise insulation frame - arrow -.






- Remove vibration damper.






• To loosen and tighten vibration damper, counterhold at centering bolt with open end wrench.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install vibration damper using only original equipment bolts, refer to the electronic parts catalog ETKA.






• Only possible to install in one position: The vibration damper crankshaft hole - arrow - must be positioned over the protrusion on the toothed belt sprocket.
