Bleed cooling circuit.





1 Coolant supply from engine

Incorporation of A/C system into engine cooling circuit

2 Coolant return to engine

Incorporation of A/C system into engine cooling circuit

3 Coolant supply to heater core in front heating & A/C unit

4 Coolant return from heater core in front heating & A/C unit

5 Heater core in front heating & A/C unit

Removing and installing with heating & A/C unit removed => [ Heater Core ]

6 Coolant hose and coolant pipe group with auxiliary heater

Installed under left front fender,

Versions vary depending on vehicle equipment

7 Coolant Pump (V50)

The Coolant Pump (V50) is actuated independent of vehicle equipment by the respective Engine Control Module (ECM) and by the front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255) (via various relays) and => Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

Coolant Pump (V50) is connected into hose set-up of parking/auxiliary heater

8 Parking/auxiliary heater

On vehicles with diesel engine, the auxiliary heater is always installed at this time, the parking heater is optional equipment.

9 Coolant supply to heater core in rear heating & A/C unit

The rear heating & A/C unit is optional equipment

10 Coolant return from heater core in rear heating & A/C unit to engine

The rear heating & A/C unit is optional equipment
