Guide Frame Tightening Specifications and Sequence
• Replace bolts which have been tightened to an additional torque.
- Install both dowel sleeves into the cylinder block.
- Tighten the bolts in 3 steps according to the tightening sequence:
Allocation of Crankshaft Bearing Shells for Cylinder Block
Bearing shells with the correct thickness are allocated to the cylinder block in the factory. Colored dots on bearing shells serve for identifying bearing shell thickness.
• - Arrow - points to belt pulley side.
Allocation of bearing shells to cylinder block is identified with a letter by each bearing.
Allocation of Crankshaft Bearing Shells for Guide Frame
• Bearing shells with correct thickness are allocated to bearing cap at the factory. Colored dots on bearing shells serve for identifying bearing shell thickness.
• Allocation of bearing shells to crankshaft is identified with sequence of letters on crankshaft side. The prefix "1" - arrow - indicates color code for bearing 1.
