Door Pocket

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Drill

• 6 mm, 10 mm and 12 mm Drill Bits

• Protective eyewear

Removing

Passenger side door trim

- Remove door handle. Refer to => [ Pull Handle ] Pull Handle.

Procedure for both sides

- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to => [ Door Trim ] Door Trim.

- Remove insulation from door trim.

- Remove the Passenger compartment monitoring switch (E183) / Alarm system deactivation switch (E217).

- Drill door pocket anchorage points from door trim until door pocket begins to loosen from trim.






Door trim must not be damaged by drilling.






- Begin drilling at an outer anchorage point and carefully remove anchorage points one after another.

Installing






Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Insert new door pocket in door trim.

- Press locking washers - 1 - out of seat on plastic dome - 2 - marked with - arrows - onto door pocket.

- Install one screw - 2 - with washer - 1 - each into both anchorage points at rear of door pocket.
