Rear Wheel Speed Sensor

- Loosen the wheel bolts.

- Raise the vehicle.

- Remove the wheel.

- Switch ignition off.

- Remove bolt - 1 -.





- Remove the speed sensor from the wheel bearing housing.

- Loosen the Torx bolt - 3 - and remove the cable bracket.

- Remove the bolt - 1 -.





- Loosen the Torx bolt - 2 - and remove the cable bracket.

- Unclip the speed sensor wiring from the retainers.





- Detach the underbody cover - arrow -





- Lift the rear seat out of the locking device.

- Release the cable bracket, disconnect the speed sensor connector - 1 - and press out the grommet (left and right sides are mirror image).





Installing

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

- Before installing, lubricate the speed sensor seal all around with lubricating paste (G 000 650).

Checking the rotor on rear axle

- Raise the vehicle.

- Remove the wheel and tire.

- Remove the speed sensor from the wheel bearing housing.

- Inspect the rotor for signs of damage or dirt.
