Affected Vehicles
Condition
^ Vehicle has dynamic steering (PR 1N7) and dynamic steering control module with hardware part number 8K0 907 144 A.
^ The steering wheel is not straight and/or the control light of the dynamic steering is illuminated.
^ In the diagnostic protocol under "1B - active steering (Dynamic Steering)" one of the following DTCs is stored:
^ DTC 1087 (basic setting not carried out).
^ DTC 3263 (restricted functionality - upper limit exceeded).
^ Steering is not affected and will operate normally.

Production Solution
Dynamic steering control module J792 (part number 8K0 907 144 B) with software version SW0490 scheduled.
Service
1. Delete the memory.
2. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
3. Update the dynamic steering control module J792 software using the SVM action code as listed in the table above, if necessary. Software version SW0570 has improved incident memory management.
4. After successful flashing, please verify whether the new software version is correctly reflected.
5. With the help of guided fault finding / guided functions, carry out a basic setting of the dynamic steering.
