AFFECTED VEHICLES

CONDITION





^ Noises when putting weight on right or left door handle armrest.

^ This TSB only applies to vehicles with leather covers on the doors.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND





The noises are caused by friction between the door handle armrest and the leather door trim panel and do not occur under normal driving conditions. They occur specifically when weight is applied to the armrest particularly on the rear part of the armrest.

PRODUCTION SOLUTION

None.

SERVICE

1. Remove the armrest.





2. Apply Special Lubricant G 060-172-A3 with a brush to the surfaces of the armrest marked by the yellow line in Figure 2.

3. After reassembling the armrest, carefully remove any visible lubricant with All Purpose Cleaner D 009 401 04.
