Condition

Rattling noises appear to be coming from the front of the vehicle or from the instrument panel area.

Technical Background





Excessive free play between the mounting bracket for the windshield washer reservoir and the washer reservoir (Figure 1).

Production Solution

Self-adhesive foam pad 8E5868739 attached to the mounting bracket.

Service

1. Remove the front wheel housing liner.

2. Check the windshield washer reservoir for free play in the mounting bracket.





If there is free play in the mounting bracket, attach the self-adhesive foam pad 8E5868739 on the mounting bracket as shown in the illustration (Figure 2).
